November and December 2019 - Susan Schwake

The Rochester Public Library is pleased to present the artwork of Susan Schwake during the months of November and December.

Susan Schwake is an artist, author and art educator. She works with ink, acrylic, watercolor, gouache and paper on paper, panel and canvas. Of her current show, Hibernation/Escape 2019, Schwake writes: This body of work was initiated by hometown winter storms and travel to warm climates. The hibernation section is bits and pieces of warmer times in our burrows nestled away from the winter winds. The escape section features high color and overgrown vegetation even in the cities. It is an out pouring of cabin fever mixed with hygge, and escapism mixed with relief.
