December 2017 - James Watts

The Rochester Public Library is pleased to present the artwork of James Watts, a MindsEye Designs artist, during the month of December.

Watts enjoys listening to Country music while working in the studio. A car enthusiast, he loves to draw Fords, Licoln Mercurys, and Shelby Cobras. Crayons, Sharpie markers, and Prismacolor pencils are his favorite materials to use in his sketchbook. The drawings in his sketchbook serve as inspiration for his paintings, which are done with acrylic paints. Watts' colorful paintings primarily feature cars, some with a lot of detail and others more abstract. MindsEye Designs is a vocational program in the creative arts for adults with developmental disabilities participating in day program services. The primary focus is to encourage and explore creativity, acquire new skills, and to support people in their quest to become working artists. For more information, visit www.communitypartnersnh.org.
